Watch Dr. James Lewis on WBIR TV speak about Isolated Limb Infusion now available in Knoxville

Welcome to the University of Tennessee Medical Center Cancer Institute. With 1,800 new cancer cases diagnosed and treated annually, the Cancer Institute is the region’s leader in cancer care. Today’s most advanced equipment and procedures coupled with our team of caring and dedicated cancer specialists make our program unique in Knoxville and the surrounding counties. By combining cutting edge treatment with our mission to care for the whole person, the Cancer Institute provides exceptional care and compassionate support for patients with cancer and their families.

The Cancer Institute is one of just 92 facilities nationwide and the first in East Tennessee, to be awarded the 2008 Commission on Cancer Outstanding Achievement Award by the American College of Surgeons. We provide a comprehensive continuum of cancer services, including prevention, outreach, diagnostic, treatment, and support services delivered by our highly skilled staff with compassion and care.

Located on the campus of the University of Tennessee Medical Center, the Cancer Institute brings together in one location board certified cancer specialists, researchers, educators and other support staff who collaborate on the prevention, detection, diagnosis and treatment of all adult cancers. As part of an academic medical community, the Cancer Institute integrates cutting-edge cancer treatment with leadership in cancer research and a commitment to medical and community education.
