HOME > Heart Lung Vascular Institute

Heart Lung Vascular Institute physicians provide care for patients with six of the top seven leading causes of death in the United States. Heart disease, lung cancer, peripheral vascular disease including aneurysms and carotid artery blockage, respiratory disease, pneumonia as well as sleep-related problems such as sleep apnea are all treated at the institute.

Heart, lung and vascular diseases are interrelated, and therefore require care from the coordinated efforts of many specialists. Patients will receive exceptional healthcare expertise combined with patient-centered care, premier technology and extensive patient/community education in one convenient location. The institute also offers patients the Heart Stroke Center, Sleep Center and the Lung Center. In 2010, UT Medical Center will be opening the region's first dedicated Heart Hospital.

Through a coordinated network of healthcare professionals, patients and their families are provided the best diagnostic, therapeutic and rehabilitative medical services available for the treatment of heart, lung and vascular diseases.
