Take the 129 (Alcoa Highway) exit (386B). Travel south on 129 – approximately one mile to the UT Medical Center/Cherokee Trail exit. Follow the exit onto the medical center campus.
Take the Knoxville exit from the airport. This will take you to Alcoa Highway (north 129). Travel on Alcoa highway (north 129) for approximately 10 miles and exit right at the medical center/Cherokee Trail exit. The Marine Corps Armory is on left just before you exit right.
If you are visiting the medical center campus for a doctor's appointment:
Exit Alcoa Highway and proceed straight toward the main entrance of the medical center. Do not veer right onto Cherokee Trail. Follow the overhead Physicians Office Buildings signs ahead and to the right. Follow these signs to the right-turn indicated on the second overhead sign. After the turn, drive straight to the entrance for either of two parking garages. One garage is attached to Medical Buildings C and D and the other is a freestanding garage facing the Heart Lung Vascular Institute and Boling Patient Pavilion.
If you are visiting offices located in the Graduate School of Medicine Building:
Exit Alcoa Highway and proceed straight toward the main entrance of the medical center. Do not veer right onto Cherokee Trail. Take the first right turn marked "Physicians Office Buildings." Proceed through the connecting crosswalk and turn right through the parking gates. The right lane will take you to the Building C and D parking garage; the left lane will take you to the visitor’s garage located beneath the Heart Lung Vascular Institute building.
The Graduate School of Medicine building is the three-story brick building to the right of the Boling Pavilion entrance of the medical center. The Preston Medical Library and University Family Physicians occupy the first floor of this building.

If you are being admitted to the hospital, having a one-day procedure or visiting a patient:
Exit Alcoa Highway and proceed straight toward the main entrance of the medical center. Do not veer right onto Cherokee Trail. Follow the overhead "Hospital Patients" signs straight ahead. Follow these signs to the right-turn indicated on the sign at your right.
After the turn, and to drop someone off, drive straight to the circular drive and the entrance marked "Main Entrance." Patient Registration is located through the doorway marked Main Entrance.
Once you have dropped the patient at the Main Entrance, you may park in the Visitor Parking surface lot and then walk to the Main Entrance. You also may park in the marked "Visitor Parking" surface lot first and then walk to the "Main Entrance."
Parking Rates
$2 per day for cars that stay in the parking lot. Each entrance and exit will cost $2.
Parking Pass
If a patient is scheduled to stay for several days, visitors may obtain a special parking pass at a reduced weekly rate of $5, which will be valid from 7:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, Saturday and Sunday hours from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Weekly passes may be purchased at the parking booths or in the Admitting Office, located in the main lobby. Family passes (one additional person) may be purchased for only $8.
Valet Parking at UT Medical Center
The hospital offers valet parking for $5 to its patients and families. There are 2 locations for hospital valet parking.
After arrival, you may call 305.8057 (or 8057 within the hospital) to request valets to your vehicle.
Patients and visitors also may park in the public parking lots located in various areas around the hospital.
