University Prostate and Urology Cancer Center

University Prostate and Urology Cancer Center provides a multidisciplinary, coordinated approach to the prevention, screening, diagnosis and management of benign and malignant tumors of the male genitourinary system and female urinary system.
When diagnosed with cancer, many patients are faced with a variety of consultations, mounds of information and complicated decisions to be made concerning treatment options. Our center is designed to assist and support patients through their cancer journey so they can choose the most appropriate treatment plan based on their particular diagnosis and needs. Additionally, our University Prostate and Urology Cancer Center physicians have offices in many locations throughout East Tennessee to better serve patients with prostate and urologic cancers.
Our team includes oncologic urologists along with medical oncologists, radiation oncologists, radiologists, pathologists, oncology and clinical trial nurses as well as support staff (social workers, dieticians and chaplains) who provide the highest level of specialized and individual care for patients dealing with a cancer diagnosis. Patients may be referred to the center by their primary care physician, urologist or through self-referral.

In the multi-disciplinary Genitourinary (GU) Conference, patient cases are reviewed by our team of specialists and an individualized treatment plan recommendation is made to discuss with the patient. In the management and treatment of some urologic cancers such as prostate, patients may be provided with a number of options to discuss with their physician. The treatment plan may include surgery, radiation therapy, chemotherapy, immunotherapy or a combination of any of these. At the University Prostate and Urology Cancer Center, the following management and treatment options are made available by our team of experts.
