The Center for Women & Children's Health is a hub for supporting women's and children's individual healthcare needs. The center provides support, research and unmatched patient-centered care.
Emergency and Trauma Services is the only Level I Trauma Center in the area and serves as the tertiary referral center for medical care in East Tennessee, serving Knox County and 21 surrounding counties.

In 2005, Charles Hagy was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. In March 2006—just seven months after being diagnosed—he was part of a relay team in a Knoxville marathon. Hagy continues chemotherapy treatment at UT Medical Center once a week, responding well to treatment and improving, reports Dr. Wahid Hanna, Hagy's physician.
Hagy's spirit and strength persevere, which he says he owes to his family, friends and Dr. Hanna for their encouragement and support. He says he is determined to continue raising awareness about pancreatic cancer and making the most of his time.
