The C.A.R.E. program was created in response to newly diagnosed breast cancer patients who had an overwhelming need to talk with someone who had “been in their shoes.” C.A.R.E. volunteers help newly diagnosed breast cancer patients deal with the multitude of feelings evoked when receiving a diagnosis of breast cancer and to reassure them that they, too, can be a survivor.
The Breast Care Service C.A.R.E. program is facilitated by John L. Bell, M.D., Medical Director; Anne Sprouse, Chaplain and breast cancer survivor; and Linda Cruze, R.N., Breast Health Specialist.
Contact the Breast Care Service at 865.305.6921 or 866.337.8824 ext. 6921 if you would like to talk with a C.A.R.E. breast cancer survivor or more information on the program.
