Healthcare Coordination
The University of Tennessee Medical Center is pleased to offer Healthcare Coordination. To make your healthcare experience with UT Medical Center as easy as possible, we offer a special complimentary healthcare coordination service exclusively for UT Medical Center patients. Just like a personal assistant, a healthcare coordinator will help facilitate and coordinate your healthcare appointments, so all you need to do is make one phone call.
These services enable patients to receive healthcare in a more effective and efficient manner. Members of the Healthcare Coordination team assist patients before, during and after their visit to UT Medical Center. Here are a few services the Healthcare Coordination team provides.
- Assistance with coordinating of multiple appointments.
- Provides new patient information packets in order to reduce wait time at physician’s office, if available.
- Confirmation of appointments with follow-up letter and directional map of the UT Medical Center campus.
- Meets and accompanies patients to their appointments on request.
If a family member requires an overnight stay, a healthcare coordinator will provide you with information on local hotels and restaurants.
