Knoxville Parkinson's Support Groups Available

It is estimated that one million people in the United States have Parkinson's disease. One of the missions of the Cole Neuroscience Center at the University of Tennessee Medical Center is to provide support for individuals and families impacted by Parkinson's disease.

The Parkinson's Support Groups are a self-help group run by people who have common challenges. These groups serve as a source for infomration and encouragement and offer a circle of friends familiar with similar issues.

The Cole Parkinson's Support Group meets the third Wednesday of each month in Suite 102 or Medical Office Building B at the UT Medical Center campus.

The support group is open to patients, their faimilies, friends and caregivers.

Regional Parkinson's support groups meet in various locations throughout East Tennessee.
