Women are more likely to develop gallbladder cancer, a disease where cancer cells develop in the gallbladder. In its early stages, there are no symptoms, making it difficult to detect early on. Later, patients may develop symptoms such as jaundice (yellowing of the skin and whites of the eyes), pain above the stomach, fever, nausea and vomiting, bloating and lumps in the abdomen.

The main treatments for gallbladder cancer are surgery, chemotherapy and radiation therapy.
