The Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery provides state-of-the-art surgical care for patients with oral cancer, including mouth, tongue, lip and larynx; benign and malignant tumors of the jaws, head and neck region; and reconstruction of defects related to these surgeries.

A head and neck tumor board has been established that reviews individual patients in a multidisciplinary fashion. The Department of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery also participates in peer-reviewed and pharmaceutical clinical trials.
