The Cancer Institute diagnoses and treats more than 1,600 new cancer patients each year and records almost 50,000 patient visits. The multispecialty cancer team is committed to providing each patient individualized, compassionate, state-of-the-art care all in one convenient location. It services include Breast Services, Prostate Service, Smoking Cessation, PET/CT Scan, Chest Service, and the only CyberKnife Stereotactic Radiosurgery program in the Knoxville region.
The American College of Surgeon's Commission on Cancer recently granted a three-year Approval With Commendation to the UT Medical Center cancer program.
