You should consult your baby’s doctor if your baby has any of the following signs.
- Blue or pale colored skin
- Yellow skin or eyes
- White patches in the mouth
- Axillary temperature greater that 100 degrees Fahrenheit or less than 97.5 degrees
- Unusually inactive; cannot easily wake up after naps
- Cries excessively for no obvious reason
- Eats poorly or refuses to eat
- Vomiting, not just spitting up
- Diarrhea or constipation
- No yellow stool after five days if breastfeeding
- No stool for 48 hours and less than six wet diapers in the day
- Unusual rash
- Rapid or difficult breathing
- Redness, drainage or odor from umbilical cord or fetal scalp electrode site
- Call if your baby just does not seem to be normal to you
- Has a seizure
- Seems in pain
- Has bleeding or drainage from eyes, nails, navel, or genitals
- Does not urinate within six to eight hours after circumcision
- Any other problems you are concerned about
