Occupational Therapy is committed to assisting the recovery and rehabilitation of individuals with cognitive, neuromuscular, orthopedic, and other physical disabilities through meaningful and purposeful activities. Treatment approaches are designed to overcome dysfunction, compensate for deficits, and ultimately, enhance the ability of individuals to function independently. It is occupational therapy's mission to prevent injury or disability, to restore individuals' functional capacities to an optimum level, and to assist them in maintaining that level.
