Our mission is the safe and proactive placement of PICC lines to enhance clinical outcomes and increase patient satisfaction while decreasing the costs associated with complications, nursing time, materials and length of stay.

The purpose of these web pages is to share with UT Medical Center staff and the public useful information concerning peripherally inserted central catheters (PICCs) . Throughout these pages, you will find helpful information on how to proactively identify candidates for PICC lines, how to care for PICC catheters and which services are provided by the PICC Team.
