The clinical laboratory provides services to the University of Tennessee Medical Center and to physicians, hospitals and businesses in East Tennessee and parts of Kentucky and Virginia. Dynacare - Tennessee, a Laboratory Partnership with the University Health System Inc., operates the clinical laboratories and University Pathologists P.C. provides professional pathology services, clinical oversight and medical direction. The facilities occupy about 58,000 square feet, much of it newly constructed or renovated space. The clinical laboratory provides diagnostic and therapeutic support for comprehensive specialty and subspecialty services through a staff of about 150 professionals.

The Dynacare - Tennessee laboratory is accredited by the College of American Pathologists (CAP) Laboratory Accreditation Program (LAP), and the blood bank section also is accredited by the American Association of Blood Banks.
