Serving Size: 1 cookie
2 extra large egg whites
1/8 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. cream of tartar
1 tsp. vanilla
¾ cup sugar
1 package (6 oz) chocolate chips (semisweet)
½ c. chopped pecans
Beat egg whites, salt, cream of tartar, and vanilla until soft peaks. Add sugar gradually, beating until stiff peaks form. Fold in chips and nuts.
Drop mixture by rounded spoonful on parchment or brown paper. Bake at 300 degrees for 25 minutes. Cool. Lift off.
Tip: Don’t make too large or filling falls out of cookie when you pick up.
