Continuing in a tradition of success and elegance, the University of Tennessee Medical Center and UT Graduate School of Medicine are honored to announce the next An Evening in Orange gala to be Saturday, Jan. 16, 2010, at Knoxville’s Cherokee Country Club. Under the leadership of event co-chairs, Christy and Teddy Phillips, and the An Evening in Orange committee, the upcoming An Evening in Orange will continue its legacy of being Knoxville’s premier fundraising event.
In 2007 and 2008, proceeds from this sold-out gala generated significant funds for the Medical Simulation Center and the Brain and Spine Institute. As these programs have grown and our residents and physicians have been provided with greater access to technology and educational resources, our patients and community have been the true beneficiaries.
The 3rd annual An Evening in Orange Gala is Saturday, Jan. 16, 2010, at the Cherokee Country Club. Proceeds will benefit the new Heart Hospital, which will be located on our campus adjacent to the Heart Lung Vascular Institute. With cardiovascular disease the leading cause of death among Tennesseans, the new Heart Hospital will help to address the growing and increasingly critical need for cardiac care services in the East Tennessee region. The Heart Hospital has been designed and will be constructed with the primary goal of meeting the individual needs of patients, their families and their caregivers in order to facilitate diagnosis, treatment and recovery.
