Welcome to the University of Tennessee Medical Center’s nursing webpage. We would like to share with you some of the exciting things happening in nursing today. We are on a journey to Magnet status, which for nurses working here is a great demonstration of support and confidence in our professionalism and commitment to quality patient care. This journey means that staff nurses are focusing on processes that put the patient first. Staff nurses are taking the lead in decisions pertaining to patient care through the Shared Governance Model of unit-based and housewide committee work. Decisions are driven by evidence-based information and then evaluated by the outcomes these decisions produce.
It is a GREAT time to be a nurse at UT Medical Center! If you are professionally driven and focused on improving the quality of care provided to patients, you will want to join us on this journey and be a part of the significant changes and improvements that will happen in this supportive environment for quality patient care.
Walk with us on our path to wisdom and Magnet status!
Looking forward to talking with you soon.
