The Center for Women & Children's Health is a hub for supporting women's and children's individual healthcare needs. The center provides support, research and unmatched patient-centered care.
Emergency and Trauma Services is the only Level I Trauma Center in the area and serves as the tertiary referral center for medical care in East Tennessee, serving Knox County and 21 surrounding counties.

Individual Unit Based Registry
The Limited Obligation Registry offers nursing staff the opportunity to work like other members of the other registries without a weekend or holiday obligation. This registry is unit-based only.
The number of participants is limited. There are a minimum of 250 hours per calendar quarter required for participation with no maximum. There are no weekends or holidays required. UHS employees are eligible for retirement, insurance and educational assistance. Limited Obligation registry nurses are not eligible for paid leave (annual, sick, holidays, personal days, etc.).
A minimum of 46 hours per calendar quarter are required with less than 1,000 hours per year or 250 hours per calendar quarter. Employees are not eligible for benefits.
