Emergency and Trauma Services is the only Level I Trauma Center in the area and serves as the tertiary referral center for medical care in East Tennessee, serving Knox County and 21 surrounding counties.

Services offered by Pastoral Care include the following:
- Pastoral visits

Chaplain Services
A Chaplain is available onsite 24 hours a day and can be reached through the hospital operator or by pager .Chaplains visit patients and families and are often present as Drs talk with patients. Chaplains work closely with the Medical team and case management.
Absher Chapel
The chapel is located on the first floor of the hospital’s lobby across from the Gift Shop. It is open 24 hours a day for prayer and meditation.
