What is Hospice Care?
Hospice is a form of compassionate and quality care for people facing a life-limiting illness or injury. Hospice affirms life and looks at dying as a normal process. It is based on the belief that each of us has the right to die pain free and with dignity, and that our loved ones will receive the support they need to allow us this right.
Our patients receive compassionate, personalized care in the comfort of their homes along with the following.
- Personalized care from specially trained hospice-certified nurses, staff and home health aides to assist with personal hygiene care;
- Palliative care services managed and directed by the physician to manage pain and control symptoms;
- Medications, specialized therapies, and all durable medical equipment required for the terminal diagnosis;
- Psychological, spiritual and grief support services to the patients and families as needed.
