Perioperative RN Residency Program
The Perioperative Residency Program is an eight- to nine-month training program for registered nurses each year in the early summer. The program consists of both classroom and clinical rotations through each specialty service. A one-month trial orientation with a preceptor will allow you to decide if the OR environment is right for you. Instruction includes state of the art specialized equipment, i.e. lasers, electrosurgical, laparoscopic equipment and an introduction to basic scrub principles in general and GYN services. A contractual agreement will be signed upon a decision to enter the residency program.
