Special Tribute Programs

Guardian Angel Program

Who’s Touched Your Life Today?

Has a physician, nurse, faculty member, volunteer or other caregiver made a difference in the care you or your loved one received at The University of Tennessee Medical Center?

Our patients often express their gratitude for excellent care in a variety of ways—through kind words, smiles, letters of thanks and financial contributions.

One of the most popular and meaningful ways for you to express your appreciation is to make a gift through the medical center’s Guardian Angel Program. This program enables you to say thank you and to honor the individual who made your experience a positive one. To date, more than 1,200 caregivers have been recognized in this special way. Download our brochure for more details.

The process is simple. Complete the Guardian Angel Program form and let us know the name of your Guardian Angel. This individual will be notified that you are honoring them (unless you choose to remain anonymous), and he/she will receive a custom-crafted guardian angel pin to wear proudly throughout the medical center. You can designate your gift in support of any area you wish, and the donation amount will never be shared with the recipient.

If you have questions regarding our Guardian Angel Program or would like to make a donation over the phone, please contact our office at 865.305.6611 or development@utmck.edu

Healing Garden

“The tranquility of quiet reflection among the serenity of nature.”

The Healing Garden at The University of Tennessee Medial Center provides a sanctuary for patients, their families and caregivers. Situated in a quiet courtyard with a designated walking path and fountain, this peaceful place is for individuals who need a moment to gather their thoughts and renew their spirits.

Fostered by the philosophy that nature provides a nurturing environment for the body and spirit, the Healing Garden provides a safe haven to those who need it most, while celebrating the lives of patients, family and friends among coves of flowers, sweet-scented greenery, magnolia trees and custom-engraved pavers.

By purchasing a brick and paying tribute to a special individual, your generosity and kindness will also make a difference in the lives of patients and families who are experiencing challenging times.

For more information about the Healing Garden and how to purchase a custom-engraved brick, download the brochure or contact our office at 865.305.6611 or development@utmck.edu. Bricks are available in two different sizes, and the inscription can be written by you.

To honor someone special and buy a brick today, Donate Now and simply follow the steps with the inscription information.
