Test Results
Outpatients- Results taken to interpreting pulmonologist's office same or next day after exam.
- Pulmonologist interprets and signs report, sends back to PFT Lab.
- After receipt back from pulmonologist, PFT Lab transcribes interpretation into original records on PFT computer, prints out final results, faxes to referring physician.
- Raw data results placed in patient's chart marked "Preliminary Results" and sent to floor with patient.
- Results then handled as for Outpatients above.
- As soon as exam(s) are completed, raw data results will be faxed directly to Chest Service.
- After that, results handled as already noted for Outpatients above.
