Outpatients

• Results taken to interpreting pulmonologist's office same or next day after exam.
• Pulmonologist interprets and signs report, sends back to PFT Lab.
• After receipt back from pulmonologist, PFT Lab transcribes interpretation into original records on PFT computer, prints out final results, faxes to referring physician.

Inpatients

• Raw data results placed in patient's chart marked "Preliminary Results" and sent to floor with patient.
• Results then handled as for Outpatients above.

Chest Service

• As soon as exam(s) are completed, raw data results will be faxed directly to Chest Service.
• After that, results handled as already noted for Outpatients above.
