This Weekend! - 2007 Knoxville Baby Show

Mommies, daddies and soon-to-be parents, the third annual University of Tennessee Medical Center's Knoxville Baby Show is here. If you just had a baby, are expecting a baby or are planning on having a baby, come to the Knoxville Baby Show to enjoy food, a spa tent, children's crafts and games, face painting, education, helpful tips, a mother/baby fashion show and prizes, including a chance to win a FREE nursery!
The event is free and open to the public and takes place Saturday, Sept. 29 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at UT Medical Center Plaza at Northshore and Pellissippi in Knoxville.
Mothers and mothers-to-be alike can take advantage of educational sessions under the Big Top that will include the following.
- What to Expect During Pregnancy
- Healthy Eating for Families
- Keeping Your Baby Healthy
- Ask-a-Doc
- Fitness Before and After Pregnancy
- Exercise for Little Ones
"Our goal is for our physicians and medical experts to provide invaluable information to parents and those who expect to become parents in order to maximize their chances of having a healthy baby," said Kim Massey, UT Medical Center's Neonatal Intensive Care Unit nurse manager. "While the Knoxville Baby Show has a tremendous educational benefit, it is also a lot of fun. There are games, activities and informational booths that appeal to people of all ages."
Available products and services such as health screenings and product demonstrations and expert resources will be available from vendors, including Ask-a-Doc, Healthcare Coordination and various physician practices.
The education and other activities presented by UT Medical Center are made possible by partners and sponsors, including B97.5, Babies “R” Us, Knoxmoms.com, Kroger, Me & Mommy-to-Be, Motherhood Maternity, Pepsi and Toys “R” Us.
