Coffee House Program Opens Discussions for Transplant Recipients


The National Kidney Foundation of East Tennessee presents a new program: Coffee House Conversations for Transplant Recipients, a four-part series, each focusing on a specific subject. 

This pilot program is a series of discussion groups for transplant recipients over the age of 12 and their families. It will be facilitated by a transplant social worker and have a transplant recipient as a co-facilitator.

The meetings will be held at 6 p.m. the second Thursday of the month, beginning in October at the National Kidney Foundation of East Tennessee in Knoxville.

 

  • Oct. 11 – Reducing the Risk of Cancer
  • Nov. 8 – Preparing for and Coping With Disasters and Emergencies
  • Dec. 13 – Understanding Depression
  • Jan. 10 – Empowerment and Advocacy

 

Dinner will be provided.
