More than 800 people had loads of fun and learned valuable health information designed to help maximize their chances of having a healthy and happy baby at UT Medical Center’s third annual Knoxville Baby Show held at UT Medical Plaza at Northshore.
One family left with even more. Emily Lamoureux of Strawberry Plains won the grand prize of a complete nursery. The nursery, provided by Toys “R” Us, Babies “R” Us and UT Medical Center, included a crib, bedding, glider, changing table and several other must-have items for the new baby and family.

“I can’t believe it,” said Lamoureux, who’s expecting her first child in December. “This is the exact same crib and changing table I wanted. It’s the same color and everything. This is great. This will help our family so much.”
At the Knoxville Baby Show, a free event, physicians provided health education programs, while nurses and a multitude of other healthcare professionals provided health screenings and set up informational and educational booths to provide a wealth of information to those who are expecting, those who’ve recently had babies, and even those who are planning to have a family.

The event also included a spa tent for moms; train rides, a bounce house, crafts and a magician for the kids; healthy food and healthy living cooking demonstrations; and a mother and baby fashion show.
Sponsors of the Knoxville Baby Show included Kroger, Pepsi, Knoxmoms.com, B97.5, me & Mommy-to-be, Motherhood Maternity, Toys “R” Us and Babies “R” Us.
