The Center for Women & Children's Health is a hub for supporting women's and children's individual healthcare needs. The center provides support, research and unmatched patient-centered care.
Emergency and Trauma Services is the only Level I Trauma Center in the area and serves as the tertiary referral center for medical care in East Tennessee, serving Knox County and 21 surrounding counties.

The Brain and Spine Institute in collaboration with the Cole Neuroscience Center is hosting the 2008 Alzheimer’s Awareness Garden: A Place Where Memories Flourish, which will be on display March 24 through April 4 in the UT Medical Center main lobby.
Staff will be present at the garden on weekdays from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. to raise awareness about Alzheimer’s disease and to sign up participants for the Knox County Regional Memory Walk on April 5.

Photographs for the second annual Alzheimer’s Awareness Garden: A Place Where Memories Flourish will be collected by the staff of the Brain & Spine Institute on March 3, 10 and 17 from 11 a.m. until 2 p.m. Photographs of loved ones and family members battling this disease may be brought to the booth in the main hospital lobby across from the gift shop.
Any size photo will be accepted, but a 4” x 6” is preferred. Electronic files of photos on CD will also be accepted.
