Spring CME Course Teaches Minimally Invasive Interventions

Register by May 6 to attend Minimally Invasive Cardiovascular and Pulmonary Interventions on May 10 beginning with 7:30 a.m. registration. This conference is located in Morrison's Conference Room at UT Medical Center. You must register by May 6 by calling 865.305.9458 or register online now.

The purpose of this conference is to enhance primary care professionals’ knowledge regarding trends in minimally invasive diagnostics and interventions for heart, lung and vascular diseases.

This course is designed for primary care providers, including physicians, PAs and APNs.

Registration fees are $25 for physicians and $15 for residents, PAs and APNs. Register online and pay by check or cash.

Learn how to

  • Understand the efficacy of new minimally invasive procedures for diagnosis and evaluation of cardiac problems.
  • Define the advantages of robotic surgical repair for mitral valve disease and compare its effectiveness to standard open heart procedures.
  • Understand the indications for and results of endovascular repair for thoracic aortic injuries.
  • Define the current staging of lung cancers and understand the application of minimally invasive approaches to evaluate mediastinal adenopathy using endobronchial ultrasound.
