National Adult Day Services Week Activities

Join Concord Adult Day Enrichment Services (CADES) in celebrating National Adult Day Services Week during the week of Sept. 21. We will kick-off the week with the Wordplayers fall touring show of “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to Jericho” to be held in the church sanctuary on Sunday, Sept. 21 at 7 p.m., with a love offering to benefit CADES.

 

This production is being sponsored by Elmcroft of West Knoxville, East Tennessee Personal Care, Elderlaw Practice of Monica Franklin and Home Instead Senior Care. Before the play begins, Farragut Mayor Eddy Ford will present a proclamation in honor of CADES.

 

Each afternoon a reception will be held in the church narthex with refreshments for family members and visitors. Other special events are as follows starting at 2 p.m. each day.

  • Tuesday, Sept. 23 — David McCoy, Covenant Health, Lifeline Information & Sign-up
  • Wednesday, Sept. 24 — Kathy Sergeant, CAC One Call Senior Club Information & Sign-up
  • Thursday, Sept. 25 - Tommy Aydelott, Safety Smart, information & door prize
  • Friday, Sept. 26 — Vicki Brandt, Alzheimer’s Association, Safe Return, information & signups (Scholarships Available)
