Upcoming cooking class teaches diabetes prevention and control

The Healthy Living Kitchen presented by Kroger is sharing the recipe for preventing and controlling diabetes with diet and lifestyle changes. On April 8 at 11:30 a.m., learn practical skills in meal preparation and ingredient substitutions by the Healthy Living Kitchen team.

Register for this class if you have

  • high blood triglyerides
  • obesity
  • heart disease
  • would like to learn more about healthy cooking skills

The Healthy Living Kitchen staff includes Executive Chef Mark McKinney; Cardiac Nurse Specialist Jane Kelly, BSN, RN; and Dietitian Janet Seiber, RD.

The class is located at the Heart Lung Vascular Institute, Healthy Living Kitchen, Suite E-170 at UT Medical Center.

Advance registration of $20 includes education and meal.
