Last year, Champions for a Cause held two events – Links Fore the Cure, a women’s golf tournament, and Cruisin’ for a Cause, a motorcycle ride against breast cancer - that helped raise support and awareness for the Cancer Institute’s Breast Health Outreach Program.
Recently, Renee Repka from Champions for a Cause presented a check for $46,000 to Dr. John Bell, Director of the Cancer Institute, Dr. Susan Huntsinger with University Cancer Specialists, and Mae King and Melissa Cate with the Breast Health Outreach Program.
The proceeds from these events will help thousands of women throughout East Tennessee receive access to mammograms and breast health educational programs.
