April 19 - 25 is the week to recognize the 250 active volunteers who come to work at the medical center not for a pay check, but out of the kindness of their hearts. They work throughout the medical center—in the ED, Oncology, Day Surgery, Breast Center, the Volunteer Station, Information desks, Special Projects, Endoscopy and gift shop - contributing approximately 27,000 hours per year.
In addition, the volunteers have given more than $2.5 million in gifts to the Medical Center since 1962.
Thank you to the UT Medical Center volunteers!
