Healing Garden brings quiet sanctuary to patients, families and visitors

On June 7th join us for a special dedication and blessing of the Healing Garden at the University of Tennessee Medical Center during the National Cancer Survivor Day activities. 
The Healing Garden was made possible through philanthropic gifts and in-kind donations from throughout the community. It is the vision of Mrs. Maria Compere, a local community activist and garden enthusiast, who wanted a place of comfort and relaxation for the patients, families and staff of the University of Tennessee Medical Center. Other in-kind contributors providing support to the garden were: ROSS/FOWLER, Ossoli Circle, Black Fox Farms, and Stanley’s Nursery.
Among a serene setting of native East Tennessee flowers, trees and shrubs is a quiet walking path and benches for patients, families and staff to enjoy during their hospital stay. Within the walking path tribute bricks have been laid commemorating love ones, care providers and other special individuals. Tribute bricks are still available for purchase.
