Frontiers Magazine Features Innovations in Surgery

No longer does surgery mean just “going under the knife.” Surgery at the University of Tennessee Medical Center now means innovative procedures and technologies that can offer less recovery time and a better quality of life. The Summer 2009 issue of Frontiers magazine, “Surpassing Expectations: The Innovative Surgery Advancements of an Academic Medical Center,” features these surgical advancements and tells how the UT Graduate School of Medicine impacts surgery in our region through our rural rotation for surgical resident physicians. This issue also describes how physicians learn surgical techniques in our Simulation Center and the all-round approach of our anesthesiologists.

The Summer 2009 Frontiers is available in print and online at UT Medical Center and the Graduate School of Medicine. To request a copy, contact UT Graduate School of Medicine at 865.305.9190 or visit the graduate school to be added to the mail list.
