THIS WEEKEND: Bruce and Brandy Pearl OUTLIVE motorcycle ride takes on cancer
Published: Thursday, August 19, 2010

Join the Pearls for the August 28 OUTLIVE: Tennessee Fights to Beat Cancer Ride
Join Coach Bruce and Brandy Pearl August 28 at Smoky Mountain Harley-Davidson for the OUTLIVE: Tennessee Fights to Beat Cancer Motorcycle Ride and help fight cancer. Following a morning brunch with the Pearls at Smoky Mountain Harley-Davidson, it’s kickstands up at 2 p.m. for the event that will raise funds to benefit cancer patients and their families through the renovation and expansion of the facilities of the Cancer Institute at The University of Tennessee Medical Center.
“The OUTLIVE ride gives us a chance to get together with a group of folks who are passionate about riding, but even more passionate about helping members of their community who are faced with a very serious disease,” Coach Pearl said. “That’s why Brandy and I are so excited to have the motorcycle ride as one of the OUTLIVE events. We can’t wait to see and talk with a lot of great people there and continue to drive home the message of the lifesaving importance of cancer prevention and early detection screenings.”
The Pearls were instrumental in the launch of OUTLIVE in 2009. Inspired by the successful fight against testicular cancer by former Vols basketball great Chris Lofton, who received his treatment at the UT Medical Center Cancer Institute, the OUTLIVE program has gained thousands of supporters from across the country. Early this year, Bruce and Brandy Pearl announced their commitment to raise $1 million in five years through events of the OUTLIVE campaign to help those facing cancer.
