September cooking class shows how to tailgate lite

 

In the game of life, the lower score wins. Controlling your cholesterol and lowering your blood pressure is a sure way to keep your score low. Learn tips at our cooking class that will make your next cookout delicious and nutritious.

The next cooking class, "Tailgating Lite: Winning Recipes for the Home Team," will feature lite alternatives for sports enthusiasts to help keep the weight off. The class is Sept.. 29 at 12 noon in the Healthy Living Kitchen, Suite E-170, Heart Lung Vascular Institute, UT Medical Center in Knoxville, TN.

Meet our kitchen staff, which includes Senior Executive Chef Mark McKinney; Cardiac Nurse Specialist Jane Kelly, BSN, RN; and Dietitian Janet Seiber, RD, CDE.

Advanced registration is required and includes nutrition advice, meal and materials.
