Dr. David Katz Nutrition Made Easy symposium

 

Nutrition Made Easy - Knowledge is Power symposium with Dr. David Katz is April 26 from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Knoxville Convention Center, Knoxville, TN. The visionary behind the NuVal™ Nutritional Scoring System, in use in more than 1,000 supermarkets across the country, will help take the confusion out of eating healthy and dispel common myths surrounding nutrition. He’ll give you practical ways to eat well and make wiser food choices.

 

With bewildering labels and hard-to-decipher health claims on so many food products today, how do we know that what we’re eating will truly nourish us? How did eating healthy become so complicated, and how can we find our way through all this confusion?

 

Join us as David Katz, MD MPH, FACPM, FACP, an internationally recognized expert and leading physician in preventive medicine provides a lively and informative discussion entitled Feet, Forks and the Fate of the Family. He will provide insight and guidance on basic nutrition for lifelong weight control, health and wellness and prevention of chronic diseases. He stresses that our eating habits are a pivotal point in our health and that small changes can bring about large benefits. A charismatic speaker, Dr. Katz will first inform, then motivate you to make the changes you need to live a better lifestyle.

 

Also appearing, Dr. Bret Rogers, a University of Tennessee Medical Center cardiologist. His topic Heart Health in Our Region will focus on the importance of nutrition’s role in maintaining optimal heart health. Staff from the medical center’s Healthy Living Kitchen will be on hand with literature for all attendees.
