Quitting smoking saves money.

A pack-a-day smoker, who pays $5 per pack, can expect to save more than $1,700 per year.

The Cancer Institute and The American Lung Association of Tennessee have teamed up to stomp out smoking.

“Freedom From Smoking” is an eight-week clinic that has become the "Gold Standard" of smoking cessation programs.

The class takes place Aug. 19 at 6 p.m. in the 4th Floor Conference Room in the Cancer Institute at UT Medical Center.

You will be asked to pay a $50 deposit, which will be returned to you after successfully attending all of the sessions, whether you quit smoking or not.
