Parking Information

Unless you're specifically instructed otherwise by your doctor, please follow the below directions :

NEW ROUTE TO EMERGENCY DEPARTMENT!

In case of an emergency

Once on campus, continue straight through the roundabout, following signs to the Emergency Department. Click here for a campus map.

For Patients in Labor

Once on campus, follow signs that lead to Medical Buildings. There are two designated parking spaces for mothers in labor in front of the Boling Pavilion and Flag Circle. Preferred parking for Labor and Delivery is in the HLVI parking garage, or Parking Garage for Medical Building C.

For Endoscopy, MRI and Radiation Oncology & Cancer Institute appointments

Once on campus, enter the roundabout and exit to your right. Follow signs to Endoscopy, MRI, and Radiation Oncology to the new parking garage H. (see parking signage to the left). Click here for a campus map.

For appointments in the Cancer Institute, parking is available on-site near the entrance (Medical Building F). Additional parking can be found adjacent to medical building F in parking garage H.

If you are visiting the medical center campus for a doctor's appointment
Exit Alcoa Highway and proceed straight toward the main entrance of the medical center. Do no veer right onto Cherokee Trail. Follow the overhead "Hospital Patients" signs that direct you to the right. Once you turn right, there are two parking garages to choose from. The first one is immediately to your right. In this garage, find a spot, park and take the elevators to the hospital.The other garage is straight ahead. At the Heart Lung Vascular Institute building, turn right and look for the garage. Parking attendants are there during normal business hours to help you find a space.
 
 
If you are visiting offices located in the Graduate School of Medicine Building
Exit Alcoa Highway and proceed straight toward the main entrance of the medical center. Do not veer right onto Cherokee Trail. Take the first right turn marked "Physicians Office Buildings." Proceed through the connecting crosswalk and turn right through the parking gates. The right lane will take you to the Building C and D parking garage; the left lane will take you to the visitor’s garage located beneath the Heart Lung Vascular Institute building.

If you're facing the Boling Pavilion, the Graduate School of Medicine building is the three-story brick building to the right of the pavilion entrance of the medical center. The Preston Medical Library and University Family Physicians occupy the first floor of this building.

Cancer Institute Information

Parking is available on-site adjacent to the Cancer Institute (Building F). Please drive to the entrance of the Cancer Institute parking lot and at the parking booth, take a ticket from the ticket dispenser. Bring the ticket with you to your appointment and at registration, a staff member will validate the ticket for $2 parking. When you exit the Cancer Institute parking lot, give your stamped ticket to the parking attendant. If you are here only for a short time to pick up or drop off, parking is free for the first 15 minutes only. Valet parking is also available for $5. 

If parking is not available in the Cancer Institute lot, additional parking is available in garage H across the street.

You may also purchase a weekly pass for $5 at the parking booths or in the Admitting Office, located in the main lobby. Family passes (one additional person) may be purchased for only $8.

Valet Parking

Valet parking is available for $5. There are two locations for hospital valet parking:
  • Flag Circle Entrance (Boling Pavilion) - from 7 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
  • Fountain Circle Entrance (Heart Hospital) - from 7 a.m. - 5:30 p.m., Monday - Friday.

Parking Pass and Fees

If a patient is scheduled to stay for several days, visitors may obtain a special parking pass at a reduced weekly rate of $5, which will be valid from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. Monday through Friday, Saturday and Sunday hours from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Weekly passes may be purchased at the parking booths or in the Admitting Office, located in the main lobby. Family passes (one additional person) may be purchased for only $8.

Parking Fees at UT Medical Center
  • Parking Garage rates are $2
  • Cancer Institute Parking Lot:  Parking $10 except for Cancer Institute, Breast Center and CT & PET/CT patients.  Parking ticket will be stamped at registration.
