Presented by Pam Carney, RN, BSN, OCN, the program's goal is to educate oncology nurses and other healthcare professionals about the role of targeted therapies in treating breast cancer, including treatment options and nursing implications.

After attending this program, participants will be able to 

  • Summarize the evidence supporting treatment options discussed in the program.
  • Summarize clinical trials studying future treatment options for breast cancer.
  • Describe the role of prognostic and predictive factors in determining potential treatment options for breast cancer patients.
  • Develop and implement strategies specific to your practice to minimize the incidence of and manage toxicities related to new therapeutic approaches to treating breast cancer.


The program includes lunch and the lecture.
