Nearly 40 percent of women in the United States are at risk for developing cardiovascular disease in
their lifetime. And the numbers for women are growing. Women with co-existing diseases, like diabetes, obesity and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, are at even greater risk. But there are ways women can help prevent cardiovacular disease. Stop smoking. Exercise regularly. Improve your diet. And consult your physician for more information and advice.
