Connect News Cancer Institute Announces Cancer Research Grant Funds Available

The University of Tennessee Medical Center Cancer Institute, in conjunction with the University of Tennessee Graduate School of Medicine, has announced the first call for grant applications specifically related to cancer research on the medical center campus in Knoxville, Tennessee.

As a result of a philanthropic initiative started in 2015, the Cancer Institute is now ready to accept grant applications for Cycle One of research funding. There are three categories of grants based on the size and scope of the research project. One grant will be awarded at $40,000, two grants will be awarded at $20,000 each, and two grants at $10,000 each. The project can extend over one or two years.
