Michael Saad Named VP and Chief Information Officer at UT Medical Center

Michael Saad has been named as vice president and chief information officer at The University of Tennessee Medical Center. In that role, Saad is responsible for assisting the organization with achieving its strategic goals and objectives through the development, implementation and support of technology services and solutions.
Saad served for the past few months as interim Chief Information Officer. He most recently served as senior consultant with TrustPoint Solutions in Atlanta, GA., and became familiar with UT Medical Center while assisting the hospital with numerous technology related projects.
“Mike is a great leader who will ensure that our investments in technology are appropriate to produce the returns expected by the medical center and our patients,” said Tom Fisher, senior vice president and chief financial officer at The University of Tennessee Medical Center. “This is a critical time as we navigate deeper into the electronic environment and Mike will provide the guidance to make that journey easier for our organization.”
Saad is familiar with the information and technology needs of hospitals and health systems. He spent several years at Henry Ford Health System in Detroit, MI, where he served as vice president and chief information officer. Additional experience of Saad includes serving as vice president of Information Technology for BBDO, a global advertising agency in Troy, MI.
