Healthy Living Kitchen To Focus on Preventing and Managing Diabetes

Rustic table with healthy organic foodJoin The University of Tennessee Medical Center’s Healthy Living Kitchen team, along with special guests, WVLT-TV Chef Walter Lambert and Food City Executive Chef Larry Barbeau, at the “Eat Well to Prevent and Manage Diabetes” workshop. The seminar will held in the Heart Hospital Conference Room at UT Medical Center on Saturday, August 12 from 8:30 a.m. - 1 p.m. with registration beginning at 8 a.m.  During this half-day seminar participants will learn how to prevent and control this disease.

Topics will include the following:

  • Simple Diabetes Friendly Recipes
  • Traveling with Diabetes
  • Motivational tips for living with diabetes
  • Stress Less with Yoga
  • Break-out Skill Sessions
