Rick McGill’s Toyota Donates $10,000 to UT Medical Center Cancer Institute

Recently, Peter Renzulli, sales manager at Rick McGill’s Toyota, presented a check for $10,000 to Dr. John Bell and Renee Hawk to benefit the Breast Health Outreach Program (BHOP) at UT Medical Center’s Cancer Institute. Dr. Bell is medical director of the Cancer Institute and Mrs. Hawk is the vice president of the Cancer Institute.

“Once again, Rick McGill's Toyota teamed up with Toyota USA to donate $10,000 to breast cancer research and outreach here locally with UT Medical Center Cancer Institute on the behalf of all our wonderful customers,” said Mr. Renzulli. “Our team members and I are thrilled to be able to help provide mobile breast health services to 21 East Tennessee counties.”

“We are extremely grateful for the generous support of Rick McGill Toyota,” said Dr. Bell. “Their funding allows us to continue our work of screening and educating women in East Tennessee about the importance of identifying breast cancer in its early stages when it can best be treated.”

BHOP is a unique grant-funded program that provides essential breast health services in 21 East Tennessee Counties. In addition to providing mobile mammography, free breast health educational classes are offered on-site to businesses, churches, and other convenient community locations throughout the region. These classes focus on the importance of early detection including:

• Screening guideline updates
• Warning signs of breast cancer
