The 581-bed hospital also is home of the region’s only dedicated Heart Hospital, only adult and pediatric transplant center, a Joint Commission/American Heart Association recognized Comprehensive Stroke Center, houses the region's only Level III private-room neonatal intensive care unit and serves as a regional perinatal center.

Flu Season & Important Information

The seasonal flu has officially kicked into gear. We have been notified by the Knox County Health Department that East Tennessee's rate of influenza like illness is higher than the state's. The CDC is also reporting continued rising rates of the illness. Influenza illness is primarily Type A/H3N2. Click here for more information

 

Consistent with other local hospitals, the medical center has implemented visitor restrictions under 12 years of age & those exhibiting signs of illness.
