University Infusion Services - Morristown provides the following services and products for our patients:

• Blood products (fresh frozen plasma, cryoprecipitate, packed red blood cells, platelets)
• Biologic drugs
• Injectables
• Hydration
• Electrolyte replacement
• IV iron
• IV antibiotics
• Central line care
• Immunizations
• ACTH stimulation test

Our registered nurses care for you during your infusion. Our on-site pharmacist offers medication education and medication review for added safety. Trained health unit coordinators register patients onsite. And, our financial advocates are available to help with any insurance questions. We can also assist you with out-of-pocket costs through our assistance funds.

Once we have a complete referral, our team will work the patient’s insurance company to obtain a prior authorization. Next, our financial team will be in contact with the patient to discuss any out of pocket costs associated with the patient’s insurance plan and offer assistance when available. Last, our pharmacist will contact the patient to review treatment education and expectations prior to your first appointment.

Once you arrive onsite at one of our 3 convenient infusion locations, a Registered nurse and certified pharmacy technician will greet you and orient you to the infusion suite. Then, they will check your vital signs & ask you screening questions to ensure it is appropriate for you to receive your treatment and escort you to an infusion recliner. A pharmacist will be available for any additional questions or concerns since your initial teaching.

We allow one visitor over the age of 16 to escort stay with you during your appointment and offer light snacks, drinks and warm blankets to keep you comfortable.

We work with our patients to find financial solutions for their treatments. We offer:

• Prior authorization retrieval from the insurance company
• Medication access assistance
• Financial assistance

We accept all insurance companies, pending plan authorization. Our medication access coordinator helps access free medication for uninsured and underinsured patients.The coordinator works with insurance case managers when specialty pharmacy services are required.

We accept referrals from all providers. To process a referral, we need:

An order on an UIS orderset, or completion of the electronic order using this link

• Patient demographics
• Pertinent lab/test values
