Beginning Monday, Feb. 19, private vehicles heading to our Emergency Department will be rerouted due to construction activities for our ED improvement and expansion project announced last year.
Patients and visitors arriving by private vehicle will be rerouted to the MRI/Endoscopy side entrance at Heart Hospital Fountain Circle throughout the duration of the construction project. Patients arriving by EMS will be unaffected and will continue to use the existing ambulance bay for admittance to the medical center.
The temporary entrance will be outfitted with signage along with medical center staff to direct patients and visitors to the ED lobby. Additionally, both entry and exit for Garage 1 will only be accessible via the Fountain Circle access route—there will be no entry on the current ED side of the garage.
